Electronic Waste (E-Waste) involves squander electronic merchandise, which are not fit for their unique expected use. These range from family unit machines, for example, fridge, forced air system, wireless, individual sound systems and buyer gadgets to PCs.
Is it Hazardous waste?
E-Waste contains a few unique and synthetic substances, a significant number of which are poisonous and are probably going to make unfriendly effect on our wellbeing, if not dealt appropriately and with upmost required precaution.
Electronic and Electrical Goods not fit for proposed use or disposed of for any reasons. Model: Microwave Oven, Radio, TV, Refrigerator, PC, Mobile Phone, Stereo, Laptop, Modem, Cordless Phones and so forth.
E-Waste contains harmful/unsafe components, which require removal through an authorized agency like SWMP which is endorsed for its solid innovative foundation.
Existing HW Management Rules 1989 (Schedule 2, 3 entry# B1110) as revised distributed by MoEF apply to EWaste too.
